About Me


Welcome to Om Shanthi Breathwork! I'm Laveda, ​the founder and passionate guide behind this ​wellness journey. With years of experience in yoga, ​breathwork, and mindfulness practices, my mission ​is to help individuals like you discover the ​transformative power of these ancient techniques.

My journey into the world of holistic wellness began ​in 2014 when I needed relief from chronic pain and ​negative addictive behaviours... I completed a ​200hr Yoga Teacher Training and then went on to ​become certified in meditation, breathwork and ​reiki energy healing. It has been an incredible path ​of learning, growth, and self-discovery. I believe ​that through mindful movement and conscious ​breathing, we can all achieve a deeper connection ​with ourselves, reduce stress, and enhance our ​overall well-being.

WHY ​BREATHWORK?

Breathwork offers profound benefits by directly influencing the body's ​autonomic nervous system, which consists of the sympathetic and ​parasympathetic nervous systems. The sympathetic nervous system is ​responsible for the "fight or flight" response, activating during stress and ​increasing heart rate, blood pressure, and alertness. In contrast, the ​parasympathetic nervous system promotes the "rest and digest" state, ​fostering relaxation, healing, and overall well-being. Through conscious ​and controlled breathing techniques, breathwork helps shift the body from ​the stress-driven sympathetic state to the calm and restorative ​parasympathetic state. This shift can reduce stress, lower anxiety, improve ​emotional regulation, and enhance overall physical and mental health.
